The Boston Redevelopment Authority has announced that they have approved the Bulfinch Triangle proposal, otherwise known as The Merano.
Expected to begin construction in the first quarter of 2009, the $160 million project is a mixed-use development proposed by the Boston Development Group. The architect for the project is CBT Inc.

Novartis Signs Lease with Alexandria:
Novartis, the pharmaceutical giant, has signed a seven year lease with Alexandria, the owner of 200 Technology Square in Cambridge.
The recently renovated building has 177,101 square feet available for lease. Novartis will move into 47,185 square feet of the facility.

Ronald Druker has plans to demolish the historic Shreve Crump & Low building next to the Public Garden to make room for a new upscale nine story office building. Everything was looking like the project was going to plow ahead without any significant problems, but the Boston Redevelopment Authority just may change all that.
