Providence, Rhode Island

Hello, and welcome to BHP Development – the number one source for development around the cities of Boston, Hartford and Providence!

From the latest skyscraper down to the smallest infrastructure improvements, BHP Development will have it covered. It is important to know that, while real estate development will be the most common category addressed on this site, BHP Development will cover so much more than just that. Other topics that will be covered here will include improvements to city infrastructure, initiatives to help promote development, trends, and so much more! Simply put, the aim is for BHP Development to be more than one dimensional. The goal is for this site to cover every aspect of these three great cities. Hopefully, over time, you will be able to look back through the archives and watch how these cities have grown from what they were in 2008 (when this site began) into what they currently are.

The news column on the main page is, and always will be, the feature portion of this site. There are many other features that make up BHP Development, however:

  • Newsworthy Notes: You’ll periodically find this in the main news column. Essentially, the smaller projects (work in a local park, small renovations, etc.) get listed here. Just a way to make sure everything is noticed.
  • Real Estate Roundup: Again, this will appear from time to time in the main news column. This deals more with the companies, market trends, and rent prices in the Boston, Hartford, and Providence areas.
  • Project Portal (under construction): Are you looking for a specific project? This is the place to find it. With dedicated pages for each city and each project, it is easy to find what you need. Not every project will have a page, but if there is enough info out there to put one together, it will appear there.

Now, a little about myself.

My name is Tim, and I am currently a resident of Lexington, Massachusetts – the historic town located about 20-30 minutes outside of Boston. I have lived there my entire life, so there is admittedly a slight bias towards not only the city itself, but the surrounding area and New England as a whole. While I have never actually lived in the city itself (so I cannot technically call myself a Bostonian), I do spend a great deal of time – whether on a family day trip, meeting up with friends, or simply spending time there by myself enjoying what the city has to offer.

I became interested in real estate development several years ago when I began to fully understand what my father does for a living (he is a project manager in the suburbs of Boston). There really was no growing process, it was simply me learning what he does and spontaneously thinking that what he did was cool. Since then, I have enjoyed reading about the latest developments in the city and debating matters with my dad (most eighteen year old teens don’t share the same enthusiasm for the topic as I do).

My other interests include sports (of all types – football, basketball, soccer, and baseball in particular), American military history, cars, music (classical and contemporary), movies, and games (video games, board games, card games – you name it and I’ll play it). I really am never bored because I have so many interests in a wide variety of areas.

Well that’s me in a snapshot. A simple one, but at least you can get a general picture of who I am and where I come from.

Thank you very much for stopping by BHP Development. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to e-mail me at patsfan0567@aol.com (put BHP Development in the subject line so I know that it is in regards to the site and I don’t mistake you for a spammer – I get a lot of crap in my inbox). I will try to respond in a timely manner, and I will do my best to address any needs that you may have.

I sincerely hope that BHP Development is what you were looking for. I hope that it is informative and appealing, and, most of all, I hope that you will be back soon. Again, please let me know if you have anything – ANYTHING – to say!

Thanks for stopping by ~ Tim
